Female butterflies are typically larger, have shorter and thicker antennae, and are often more camouflaged than males. They also have a more rounded abdomen, a feature that becomes more pronounced when they are carrying eggs, and lack the "claspers" males use to mate. Females are also the ones who lay the eggs after mating, which is their primary rol
