INSECTS (COLEOPTERA)
Beetles (Coleoptera, from the Greek , koleós: "box or case", pterón: "wing"), commonly known as beetles, are an order of insects with between 375,000 and 400,000 described species; it has as many species as vascular plants or fungi and 66 times more species than mammals.It contains more species than any other order in the entire animal kingdom, followed by Lepidoptera (butterflies and moths), Hymenoptera (bees, wasps and ants) and Diptera (flies, mosquitoes).
