CERAMBYCIDAE
Longhorn beetles (Cerambycidae) are a family of polyphagous beetles. It is one of the largest families of beetles, with more than 33,000 species. According to rough estimates by specialists, the family comprises about 5,200 genera distributed worldwide, but this is far from a complete estimate, as new species are described annually, mainly from tropical and equatorial areas, but also from other regions, such as Europe, Asia Minor, and North America. In Ukraine, some 280 species of longhorn beetles have been described, by comparison: in the USA - 1200, in Canada - 350, and in Russia - 585. At the same time, longhorn beetles are one of the most studied families, due to their aesthetic appeal and their great popularity among collectors, whose collections are also of great scientific importance, since they often become a source of discovery for new species by entomologists when compiling faunal lists for specific territories.
